Chilli and Chia Apple Grape Smoothie

Craved for some heat in my smoothie to beat the heat.
Hand Crushed Dried  Red chillies satisfied my craving.
I crushed a few  dried red chillies in mortar and pestel and used a tsp of it with apple and grapes.

Dried red chillies are a burst of Vitamins A and C, plus anti - inflammatory and anti viral. They also help with iron absorption.
Red chillies burn fat too.
This smoothie is my new homemade flu shot.

1 small organic red apple chops
1 small organic Granny Smith chops
1 navel orange peeled or juice of 1 lime , optional
1/2 cup organic black seedless grapes
1/2 cup coconut water
1/2 cup cold water

1 tsp crushed dried red chillies
1 tsp chia seeds soaked in 6 tsp water

Blend together the fruits with coconut water and add water to dilute to your consistency. When smoothie is done, pulse for few seconds with crushed red chillies and chia . Serve cold. Shelf life in the refrigerator is 3 days.
