Lassi is a popular drink in India made with yogurt. It is made sweet or salty or a combination of both. Mango Lassi is the most popular Lassi at Indian restaurants. Anyway, it's very soothing and promotes digestive enzymes and acts as a natural remedy for stomach disorders.
Addition of mint and Cilantro ups the nutritive value in the Lassi.
2 cups organic yogurt
2.5 cups cold water
1/3 cup mint leaves
1/4 cup cilantro
1 knob ginger grated
1 tsp natural sea salt
Wash the cilantro and mint. In a blender, combine the ginger, and the herbs in 1/4 cup water and blend until the leaves are juiced. Then add the yogurt and pulse for few seconds. Add the remaining water,salt and blend for few seconds.
Increase or decrease the water content as per thickness preference.
This recipe serves 4.
