Mangoes are sinfully sweet and also healthy. Oranges or pineapples pair well with mango and balance out the sweetness.
Made a simple mango and orange smoothie with mint and green apple. I have posted similar smoothies before, but fell in love with this one due to mint flavor and zesty orange. It was very indulgent for a smoothie.
1 Manila Mango peeled and pitted
2 Valencia oranges peeled and deseeded if not seedless.
8-10 fresh spearmint leaves washed
1/4 cup almond milk
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup green apple chops optional
4-5 ice cubes optional
Combine all the ingredients except mint in a blender and make a smoothie. Add the mint and pulse for a few seconds.
If the mango is too sweet , add juice of 1 lemon or an extra orange.
