Love to unwind on the weekends with Cocktails or mocktails rather than with a smoothie.
Time to put my mixology skills to test. I had taken few mixology lessons at Hyatt Andaz in Costa Rica last winter and quite fascinated with it. Mixology has evolved from using just fruits to veggies and non alcoholic vegan Gluten-free drinks.
6-7 blackberries in a glass
1 tsp ginger zest
Juice of 1 quarter lemon
5-6 mint leaves
1 tsp honey
1 part ginger ale( rum for alcoholic version)
3 parts sparkling water or club soda
Ice cubes optional
Take some mint leaves in a glass and crush them with a pestle. Place 6-7 blackberries in the same glass. Sprinkle the lemon juice. Let it stand for 5 mins. Then muddle the berries with a muddler until they are
mushed and juicy. Stir in some honey and zest of ginger. Wait for 5-10 mins before adding the soda and ginger ale.
Serve chilled with or without ice.
