Blood Orange and Green Apple Smoothie with Cilantro

Having used basil and mint in most of my smoothies, tried our humble backyard herb:cilantro in my smoothie today.
Cilantro is very commonly used in Asian and Mexican dishes for garnish due to its aroma and freshness.
Little do we know that this herb is a powerhouse for Vitamin K, manganese, potassium and flavinoids.
Green apples are not so sweet and blood oranges are juicy and Tangy.  The smoothie was very citrusy, ideal for mild temperatures on a sunny day.

1 quarter of green apple diced
1/2 blood orange peeled, deseeded if not a seedless one
1/4 inch ginger
1 tsp lemon juice
1/8 cup coconut or almond milk
1 tbsp cilantro

Combine all the ingredients except cilantro and blend them into a smoothie.
When done, add cilantro and pulse for few seconds. This smoothie best when fresh.
Blood oranges could turn bitter when kept for a long time.
