Vitamin C Blast

Faced with freezing temperatures this winter,  need an abundant supply of Vitamin C. I am not into supplements, so smoothies are the only way I get my daily Vit C dose. I choose organic fruits for smoothies since they taste better and fresher than regular ones. Not to forget, the berries are anti Inflammatory,  they can help relieve pain and speed up tissue recovery.
For this smoothie :
1/4 cup fresh organic strawberries 
1/4 cup fresh organic blackberries 
1/4 cup fresh organic pineapple cubes
1/2 green apple deseeded 
A tsp clover honey
1/2 cup organic almond milk 
A sprig of  fresh spearmint 

Combine all ingredients except mint and blend them into smoothie. Ice cubes are optional.  Add water according to your desired consistency. Mine is usually semi thick.  Add the mint and pulse for few seconds before serving.
